The crude oil tank cleaning robot is equipped with the necessary working head and actuating componentsas ATEX 0 Zone or 1 Zone . The operator maneuvers the cleaning  robot into the working area, adjusts the robot  working head's posture and components, and activates the equipment to begin cleaning operations. During movement, the tank cleaning  robot's actuating components perform tasks such as stirring, scouring, gathering, scooping, pushing, pumping, or suctioning (with a vacuum pump) to process silt or sediment at the current location. The dredged material is ultimately transported to a sludge tank or post-treatment equipment for classification, separation, crushing, filtration, and resource recycling.

The tank cleaning robot system consists of three parts: ground station, robot, and pipeline. Among them; The ground station includes a distribution box, hydraulic station, control cabinet, high-pressure water pump, cooling water tank, and pipeline winch; The robot includes a walking mechanism, a lifting lighting camera device, a suction head, a pushing plate, and a lifting hinge screw, high-pressure water nozzle; Pipelines include control cables, hydraulic pipelines, rescue steel cables, and high-pressure water pipes.

Workflow principle of a ATEX tank cleaning robot 

Explosion proof tank cleaning robots enter the crude oil tank, shovel, push, disperse, and collect sludge, and use vacuum suction to pump the sludge into the hazardous waste storage device without adding water or adding less water.

Using the high-pressure nozzle carried by the tank cleaning robot, rinse the dead corners and inner walls of the tank with a small amount of water, and remove the residual oil-water mixture. The mixture is then pumped by a vacuum transfer pump and transported to the sludge storage device.
